Translated as either 'Holy Sunday, 'Saint Nedelya, or even as 'Saint Sunday', this orthodox church, built in 1867, sits on the crest of a mountain overlooking Tivat Bay close to Kamenari village. Even though today the meaning appears to refer to the holiness of the day of Sunday, it may have originally referred to the martyr Saint Kyriaki, or ultimately to Jesus Christ.

Situated in the Tivat village Bogisici on the Lustica Peninsula, only a smalll fence separates today these two ancient churches. Though the precise dates of these churches remains unknown, the Church of St. Ivan is known to be the oldest since medieval frescoes found inside are evidence of its earlier construction.

Surrounded by lush countryside, the Savina Monastery contains the relics originating from the time of Nemanjic royal family  Including the artefacts of Empress Jelena, the cross of Saint Sava, and the shroud from the Tvrdos monastery. The monastery complex features a Baroque cathedral, an 11th-century church, dormitories with the treasury, and the church of St. Sava isolated on a nearby hill. The monastery's architecture is a mixture of styles--Byzantine, ancient Greek, Roman, and Baroque. Above the door on the inside of the small church, look for an inscription from 1831, which notes that the structure was built in 1030. Several layers of frescoes on the inner walls illustrate the life of Jesus.
